My municipality does a lot of this to protect the coniferous trees from the winter wrath. I’m not sure why fir trees need protection but I’ll leave that to the arborists to set me straight. In any event, they’re everywhere and their awkward shapes and forms have always fascinated me. I think I’ve got a thing for wrapped objects, boats come to mind...I’ve always been a fan of Christo’s work. Perhaps there’s a potential series here in the making.
